If we’re honest, every one of us would choose to avoid the dark valleys in life if we could. But so often, they arrive without warning, and suddenly we find ourselves in the shadows—trying everything in our own strength, except turning to the Shepherd.

This week, we look at David’s words as he declares that even in the darkest valley, he has no reason to fear, because he knows the Lord is with him—ready to guide, protect, and defend him. And the same is true for us today. When our eyes are fixed on the Shepherd, we don’t have to run from the valleys or be afraid when they come.
